First Night Salt Lake City Inc

First Night Salt Lake City (dba Downtown SLC Presents) has organized the First Night series of events for over a decade, which evolved to EVE four years ago. The goal of EVE, which takes place over three days culminating in fireworks over downtown Salt Lake City is: 

To promote cultural and artistic experiences in downtown Salt Lake City through place-making, promotional initiatives and programs that enliven the cultural core of the community throughout the year.  

To broaden and deepen the public’s appreciation for the visual and performing arts.  To establish, coordinate, implement and operate and supervise an annual public celebration of the New Year which will promote visual and performing arts.

To promote the arts by providing a forum for traditional and contemporary artists.

To educate audiences through low-cost access to the performances, lectures, demonstrations, and participatory arts projects.
