Dragon Productions Theatre Company

Celebrating 18 years in 2018, Dragon Productions Theatre Company is a non-profit live theatre company founded by Executive Artistic Director, Meredith Hagedorn. Since 1999, Dragon has been building a reputation for rareley seen, high quality, live theatre entertainment. Previously located in Palo Alto, the new Dragon Theatre in downtown Redwood City houses a 65-seat intimate theatre area, a classroom, and a studio space. In 2014 we added the 2nd Stages Series program to our Main Stage programming to offer more opportunities for new theatre makers to teach them how to tell the stories that they're passionate about. In 2016 we started the Monday Night Play Space series for artists to workshop new works or test materials in front of a supportive audience at no cost to the artist. 2018 is The Season of Everything. “[it]’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the  humanities, that yields us the result that makes our hearts sing.” – Steve Jobs 

Albert Einstein’s final challenge was the Theory of Everything, in which he was trying to unify all physical aspects of the universe. It required a deeper understanding of how things work on a fundamental level. Theatre teaches compassion and empathy and by combining theatre with science we aim to show in 2018 that as humans, we are all connected, that science and art are intertwined, and that our actions make ripples both in the present and in the future.
