The Dream Center exists to provide support and resources to individuals and families in need with an emphasis on helping them achieve lives of self-sufficiency through a hand up instead of a hand out.  The Dream Center offers a hand up with free classes that teach budgeting, nutrition, parenting, anger management and more. For every class attended, participants receive $8 Dream Dollars, which can be redeemed for use of the laundry or shower facilities, personal hygiene items, laundry detergent, and diapers. They can also be used to purchase clothing, household items, and furniture from The Dream Center Resale Stores located in the community. The Dream Center developed a one-of-a-kind homeless shelter program called The Opportunity Village.  The village consists of 23 tiny houses and 10 transitional houses to shelter women and children during their time in the year long program. Individual Success Plans are developed that specifically focus on personal health, personal growth, financial responsibility and education/job placement with the goal of building self-sufficiency. This unique program is a model for addressing homelessness with long term life transformation. After graduating from the program, residents have the opportunity to move into transitional housing and participate in the Bridge program for a another year. During the Bridge, residents are working and living independently while continuing to meet with their Financial Coach and Mentor. This support team helps them make the transition to self-sufficiency as they begin their new lives.   Another program of The Dream Center is the Santa Shoppe Assistance program. This program empowers parents in need of Christmas assistance to "learn and earn".  This referral based program requires parents to take a series of free classes in exchange for vouchers to shop for new toys and gifts for their children. Participants experience the blessing of earning and providing for their own children at Christmas.
