The work of the Drennen’s Dreams Foundation evolved because of the tragic and unnecessary death of Bill and Melissa O'Melia's 12-year-old son, Drennen. It was the O’Melia’s desire to make a difference in the lives of others, which led them to share Drennen’s story. In time, this led them to educate aquatic organizations, managers, and lifeguards about the importance of high safety standards and practicing proper water safety procedures to prevent drowning.

In 2014, the Drennen’s Dreams Foundation became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and over the years our work has expanded across the country. In 2022, our Foundation will be expanding our efforts to educate others, and increase public awareness that Drowning is Preventable!
