Dress for Success Bakersfield

We opened our doors in late 2012 and started the Bakersfield affiliate of the international women’s workforce development organization Dress for Success.  Dress for Success takes referrals for clients from over thirty Partner Agencies which are listed on our website www.bakersfield.dressforsuccess.org. 

Since opening its doors, Dress for Success Bakersfield has provided services to over 700 women. They have been fitted with work appropriate clothing, received job skills training and access to Career Mentoring and job search assistance through the Career Center which was originally funded by grants from Walmart and Chevron.  All client services are paid for by the generous support of companies and individuals in our community. Every penny donated goes directly to help us help women move off the sysytem and out of poverty.
