International Church of the Foursquare Gospel

Thanks to the generous support of The Journey (International Church of the Foursquare Gospel) who proccess our donations for us so we can foucs on making girls shine!  Dresstravaganza is a local non-profit that outfits teens in need with prom dresses free of charge.  We have been in operation since 2009 and we have helped more than 1,000 young ladies in their time of need.  We started with only 100 dresses and now have over 1,000 new and like new gowns in every size, shape and color.  We believe that every girl, regardless of their personal financial situation, should be able to go to prom in style and feel gorgeous.  We run completely off of donations and do not charge for any of our services.  All of our staff are volunteers and every penny raised through donations is put directly back into the cleaning and repair of the gowns.   We are typically open one day per week and by appointment.  In the spring time we hold our annual Prom Extravaganza where we offer free dresses and salon appointments for hair, nails and make-up.  All of which is donated by the amazing owners of Paul Mitchell the School Boise. In these events we typically see several hundred girls over the course of two weekends.   We have also worked with local military to create special events to outfit the wives of those serving at the Mountain Home Airforce Base and Gowen Field to make them shine for their annual Airmans Ball and Army Ball.   We have been fortunate to have been blessed by so many people and businesses within the valley to help us make dreams come true for so many young ladies. Dresstravaganza is here to serve our community and touch lives.  Our endeavor is not to offer a thrift experience where you find a few dresses in a dark basement but rather a high end boutique shopping experience where each young ladies feels special and important from the moment they walk in the door until they leave with the gleaming smiles, dress, jeweltry and free spa ppointment.  We get a lot of press coverage every year.  We have had countless news segments on channels 7, 9,  6, 12 and 2. We were featured as 7's Heros last year and have also had radio spots on several local radio stations to promo our program.  We will be joinging up with the SHINE Ball for 2016 as well as the Miss Amazing pageant.  We love to talk about our donors on social media and in the press!  You are the Dream Makers.  Will you join us in being a DREAM MAKER.  Every penny counts because there is not one paid staff in the entire organization!
