Dubuque Community Y

The Dubuque Community Y has proudly served the Tri-State Community since 1866. With a focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living, Social Responsibility, Eliminating Racism, and Empowering Women, the Y: nurtures the potential of every child and teen, improves the community's health and well-being, gives back and provides support to the most vulnerable, promotes peace, justice, and freedom, and empowers women, men, and families.

With a vision to unite around strengthening community, the Dubuque Community Y collaborates with others to address the most pressing needs facing our community because the Y believes that lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together. Every day we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grown, and thrive. At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away for an inability to pay.

The Dubuque Community Y directly impacts over 15,000 people a year. The Y impacts the community through early childhood child care, before and after school child care, membership, youth, adult, and family programming, summer day camp, zip lining, and the Y's Crisis Services Shelter. In addition, the Y employs over 150 people and offers volunteer opportunities to nearly 1,000 of our neighbors.
