LIVING OUT AND SHARING THE RESTORING LOVE OF JESUS

Dutchtown is the neighborhood we're called to. It is a neighborhood of history and transiency, diversity and tradition, courage and shame, hope and despair. A place with so much to offer, yet so little in hand. Dutchtown is a neighborhood of families and possibility that is plagued with poverty, violence, and neglect. But God is at work in the living rooms and on the sidewalks of this corner of St. Louis. We have the privilege of joining in that work by connecting with youth and families in the dailiness of life. Our vision is to see youth and families in Dutchtown grow from striving for survival to thriving with God, family, and community.

To do this, we seek to create and use relationship-based programs to launch into families and the community in order to bring love and reconciliation, identity and dignity, to the Dutchtown community, by living out and sharing the restoring love of Jesus.

THE IOWA HOUSE PROJECT

In pursuit of deepening our relational impact in the Dutchtown community we have acquired a house on Iowa Ave. The Iowa House Project will provide us with a strategic base of operations for community engagement through teen nights, family dinners, bible studies and various classes.

Right now, it is a total gut rehab, but when it is restored, it will be a safe place to bring people in and launch initiatives out.

During Give STL Day anything given will be matched by the $20,000 Brown Sisters Foundation challenge grant awarded to our organization.
