Echoing Kindness Inc

Echoing Kindness' mission is to provide services that empower underserved and underprivileged families and individuals to take advantage of opportunities and resources needed to improve their quality of life and to promote community betterment in neighborhoods throughout the greater New Orleans area. A volunteer organization focusing on three major areas: (1) strengthening family and individual services; (2) expanding youth opportunities; and (3) revitalizing neighborhoods.

Strengthening Families & Individuals:
Our service include advocacy for basic needs: food, clothing and shelter. Within a neighborhood, basic needs must be addressed before any change can be expected. Our services include assisting the elderly and veterans with the completion and filing of applications to receive home improvement grants, monetary benefits, and documents for respite care and delivery of meals through Council on Aging.

Expanding Youth Opportunities:
Echoing Kindness encourages and supports youth to take advantage of the variety of opportunities that are available to them. Our services are geared towards: (a) supporting STEM awareness and related programs; (b) promoting youth employment opportunities; (c) strengthening or expanding tutorial programs and (d) encouraging kindness and self-esteem.

Revitalizing Neighborhoods:
Echoing Kindness builds the capacity of residents to stay involved and engaged in making a livable community. Assistance is provided to residents of sub-divisions seeking to establish or strengthen homeowners' associations or taxing districts. Residents in local neighborhoods are urged to take pride in their neighborhoods. Assistance is provided in identifying the appropriate agencies and organizations to contact.
