ECC of Hillsborough Co

Since 1983, the ECC has assisted families with special needs children to ensure that children with developmental delays or disabilites receive the help that they need to enter Kindergarten ready to learn and succeed.

The ECC Developmental Screening program has screened over 30,000 children since 1986 - these include children with challenges in the areas of speech & language, hearing, vision, cognitive capacity and behavioral concerns.   ECC's Inclusion Support services supports children with special needs in the Pre-K classroom who are in danger of losing placement due to behavioral or developmental concerns.  The Infant Mental Health project trains professionals to increase their therapeutic and counseling skills to ensure that they have a level of understanding and competence when working with children who have experienced trauma in one form or another or who are challenged with mental illness.   ECC is widely respected as a leader in the early childhood field for its collaboration and for its history of positive outcomes for children and families.
