The East Longmeadow Educational Endowment Fund is a non-profit organization whose purpose is exclusively educational and charitable with the primary goal of enhancing the educational opportunities offered in all East Longmeadow public schools.

There is an important need for the public schools to have a source of funds over and above what is provided for through taxes. This source of funds can make the difference between an average experience for students and an opportunity to excel and enjoy something special in education.

Grants are awarded to fund proposals impacting students at all grade levels and care is exercised to ensure that as many students as possible benefit from such grants, and the benefits are repeated for a period of years.

Each year ELEEF awards grants to teachers at the 5 public schools in town.  Over the past 21 years, ELEEF has granted over $390,000  to fund items not normally covered by the town's tax supported budget.  Recently we funded the Stringed Instrument Program at ELHS and BPMS, an ipad learning lab at Meadowbrook and Mountain View, a robotics program for the middle school, Mountain View, Mapleshade and ELHS, a 3D printer at ELHS, reading and math programs, science lab kits, document cameras, projectors, microscopes, smart boards, physics equipment and much more.

If you, or someone you know, have been a student in East Longmeadow during the past 20 years, you have benefited from an ELEEF grant in some way.  A complete list of grants awarded since 1995 is on our web site www.eleef.org , along with much more information about ELEEF, our members, fund raisers and ways you can get involved.
