East Texas Lighthouse empowers the blind through rehabilitation, education, training and employment.

East Texas Lighthouse has been empowering the blind for almost 50 years. Through our training center on Front Street in Tyler, we help restore hope and independence to those struggling with vision loss across 40 counties in East Texas. 2025 donations will go to fund our one-of-a kind summer camp for kids who are blind or visually impaired. We use fun experiences to help campers build friendships with those like them, confidence that they can do anything they set their mind to, and independence so they can lead fulfilling lives once they are on their own.
