The Eastern Idaho Jazz Society was founded in 2007 by Idaho Falls musician, Kevin Young.  He wanted a way to share his love of jazz with musicians and music lovers here in Eastern Idaho.  His main goal was to promote live jazz performances here.  Kevin also wanted to expose young people to the world of jazz and give all musicians a chance to watch and/or perform at actual jazz jam sessions.

Presently we have over 100 members.  Our president is Craig Green, a local jazz guitarist.  We hold monthly jam sessions at The Cellar Restaurant to packed audiences.  Twice a year we have jazz concerts inviting jazz performers from not only Idaho but all parts of the US.

Membership is $20 a year.  Member benefits include discounts to EIJS events, priority discount to EIJS events. a monthly newsletter with not only jazz/blues events but other live performances in Eastern idaho, and free promotion on the EIJS web site.  WITH A $20 OR MORE  DONATION, YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY GET A YEAR'S MEMBERSHIP IN EIJS.  YOU WILL STILL NEED TO GO TO OUR WEBSITE www.eijs.org, DOWNLOAD THE MEMBERSHIP FORM AND SEND IT IN.  MARK THE FORM THAT YOU DONATED TO IDAHO GIVES.  YOU WILL THEN BE MAILED YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD, AND WE WILL EMAIL YOU THAT MONTH'S NEWSLETTER.

Our web site is www.eijs.org where you can download our membership form.
