Easterseals West Georgia Inc

Easterseals West Georgia Inc., a United Way Community Partner, provides both Adult Day Services and Children's Services to individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to provide high quality services and support to enable children and adults with disabilities to reach their maximum independence. We provide each adult with an opportunity to spend their days involved in activities with other adults practicing daily living skills and learning new skills which will allow them to function as independently as possible. We focus on independence in daily life and in the community. The therapeutic program for children follows a curriculum based on learning through play and child directed creative experiences.  On a daily basis, children are encouraged to express their needs and wants through verbalization and/or signing.  Development of adaptive/life skills is also of great importance.  

Easterseals West Georgia also offers support to families and caregivers who care for a loved one with a disability. We are able to do this by purchasing medical supplies and equipment and pay directly for services such as hospitalizations, therapy appointments, and even summer camp!

Starting in a little white house on Sellars Circle to now our facility on Double Churches Road, we strive to make a difference in our community by offering quality services so our participants, and families, can achieve their maximum potential!
