The Eastridge Mission Center opened in July of 2013 as an outreach ministry of the Eastridge Baptist Church to serve the neighborhood children and their families. The neighborhood has a high concentration of refugee families from all around the world, most of which are living in poverty. There are nearly 30 different languages spoken among the children and adults that come to the Mission Center. Many of the families identify as Christian, Buddhist, or Muslim. As of April 2018, the Eastridge Mission Center officially became its own non-profit entity with a board of directors. The Mission Center is open every day after school as a safe place for the neighborhood children to eat, play sports, get homework help, and more. There are weekly Bible studies and activities available to the children. The outdoor area includes a soccer field, volleyball area, picnic pavilion, and jungle gym. In 2022, the center added on a food program to help fed senior citizens in the neighborhood. The program, Kingdom Seniors, delivers an afternoon meal to the front porch of nearly 50 seniors each weekday! The Mission Center continues to serve a growing number of children, families, and senior citizens with an incredible opportunity to share the gospel message in a unique community.
