EduSerc, which stands for Educators Serving the Community, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Laurel, MD that is dedicated to developing industry-based, hands-on learning programs for youth and adults in the United States and around the world.  Founded in 1996, EduSerc started by asking individuals to donate 1 hour a year of their time to educate students how to develop a career in their field.  Ever since, EduSerc has been designing, developing, and managing innovative programs in STEM, Culinary Arts, Business and other areas around the United States.

EduSerc achieves its goals and objectives through the development of two main programs:  Young Innovators (K-12) and Workforce Innovators (College / Adult).  Designed as model for workforce recruitment, EduSerc's programs are distinctly unique as they teach students critical thinking skills while grooming them with personal development and technical skills in specific industries.

The history of EduSerc started when a young engineer, Brian K. Smith, wanted to replicate the experiences he had that led him on the path of scholastic and professional success out of college.  One year after graduating with his degree in Electrical Engineering, Smith started asking his friends to donate their time to help youth in the community and shape an idea to strategically reach young people.  As a result, Smith started the organization named after the very people that helped him accomplish his goals...Educators Serving the Community.

EduSerc delivers its curriculums as customized after-school activities, summer programs and special events to simulate industry experiences.  In schools, EduSerc forms Young Innovators Chapters where students form an executive board to develop industry projects giving themselves career development experience.  For companies, EduSerc develops workforce pipeline solutions and enhances corporate community services programs to increase HR recruitment efforts for long-term stability and return on investment.

EduSerc cares about the community and devotes its time to helping youth in schools on a daily basis.  In addition, EduSerc devotes its time to honor other educators, nonprofits, companies and individuals that perform great work in the community through a red carpet national ceremony on an annual basis.
