Elevate Kids

In the summer of 2020, we (Doug and Melinda McCaw) ran the 490-mile Colorado Trail from Denver, through the Rocky Mountains, to Durango, Colorado, in 18 days. Why? To raise money for kid-focused charities in the Grand Valley area of Western Colorado including Kids Aid Backpack Program and D51 grade schools and middle schools. The response was so inspiring that we formed a non-profit organization called Elevate Kids. 

To raise funds we've done the following:

1. Run the Colorado Trail and asked for donations towards the cause
2. Filmed the Colorado Trail run and created a documentary; shown the film as a fundraiser in local theaters
3. Created the Elevate Kids Fun Run
