Elkton Community Education Center

At ECEC, you can walk among the butterflies or travel back in time by visiting Fort Umpqua, a Hudson's Bay Company trading fort from the 1840's.

Our 30-acre site includes a native plant park and nursery, butterfly pavilion, community building, produce stand, seasonal cafe, and a replica of a historic trading fort.

Our Youth Employment Program provides valuable training and work experience to young people in a rural area with few other job opportunities. 

Come visit!  We are open 7 days a week from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. (Closed July 4th.)
