The Historical Society of Martin County is the parent organization of the Elliott Museum and House of Refuge Museum. Each museum showcases a wide variety of exhibits and collections designed to to celebrate creativity, history and innovation.

The Elliott Museum wows guests with its renowned antique car collection, rare baseball memorabilia, art collection and regional history. This vibrant forum showcases local artists and highlights new exhibits in the changing gallery to enrich, enlighten and engage guests. 

The House of Refuge, the oldest structure in Martin County,  served as a haven for shipwrecked sailors and travelers along the Atlantic coastline of Florida. Today it tells the story of the region’s significant maritime heritage and the Floridians who endured hardships for the sake of humanitarian service.
