Empact Ministries Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit whose purpose is to provide non-perishable food, prepare meals, clothing, financial support, and other assistance to shelters (homeless, women and men’s etc.,), families in need and other Nonprofits within the local community, and support Christian Ministries and Missions within the local community and abroad. Our vision is to “Serve Those In Need”. Our outreach programs includes:
- Shelter Outreach Program: The “Shelter Outreach Program” will prepare and serve meals, provide clothing and toiletry items, support food pantries, participate in volunteering opportunities, and donate funds to local shelters
- Mission and Ministry Outreach Program: The “Mission and Ministry Outreach Program” will provide supplies and equipment and donate funding to those ministries operating within the local community and abroad. We will also connect with local churches to sponsor missions
Job Skills Outreach Program: The “Job Skills Outreach Program” main focus will be to provide those seeking employment with the following services:
(1). Resume Writing
(2). Online Job Searching
(3). Mock Job Interview Sessions
(4). Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Internet Searches etc.)
- Operation Lets Eat: The “Operation Lets Eat Outreach Program” will prepare and serve hot meals to shelters within the local community, as well as operate a non-perishable food bank (donations from local grocery stores/community) for families in need. In addition, this outreach program will support food pantries for local churches and shelters through food drives. The non-perishable food bank will be available during the hours of operation. A written referral from a church, shelter, state or local government program etc., will be required. Food donations can be dropped off during the hours of operation.
- Shop the Closet: The “Shop the Closet” Outreach Program (through donations) will provide adult and children’s clothing, shoes, and accessories to shelters and families in need. This outreach program will also work with Nonprofits such as “Dress for Success” to have clothing drives for those individuals seeking first time employment or re-entry into the workforce. “Shop the Closet” will be by appointment only during the hours of operation. A written referral from a church, shelter, state or local government program (job referral agency) etc., will be required.
Future outreach programs will include:
- Internet Corner: The “Internet Corner” will have computer access available through WI-FI to allow people at their leisure to perform on line job searches, prepare resume’s, work on research papers etc. The Internet Corner will operate on a first come first serve basis. Onsite computers will be available with a time limit of one (1) hour. Personal WI-FI devices can be used
- Operation Restore Homes: The “Operation Restore Homes Outreach Program” will work with local home improvement companies as well as “Habitat for Humanity” to seek out homes within the local community that are in dire need of repairs. Empact Ministries will forecast four (4) homes a year (one home per quarter) to repair.
- Operation Provide Homes: The Operation Home Building Outreach Program will partner with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other counties Department of Community Services to help identify and assist in placing qualified families in affordable housing.
