Empowering Youth Mentor Program

The Empowering Youth Mentor Program (EYMP) is designed to empower at-risk youth in the community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their personal potential. The EYMP matches volunteer adult mentors with youth who are at risk to reoffend and who are struggling to stay within the law; youth who have experienced physical abuse; sexual abuse, and domestic violence; as well as those who are, in general, struggling. The aim of these matches is improving youth academic performance, reducing truancy and criminal behavior, particularly drug related crimes and to help them be more successful, socially, emotionally and professionally.
