enCompass Academy is a non-profit public charter high school in Reno, Nevada. The school operates on per-pupil funding. This funding is used to pay for the facilities, all staff and faculty salaries and benefits, equipment and technology, and culinary department that feeds students breakfast and lunch daily. Students who come to encompass do not pay for meals (breakfast, lunch, or dinner), or any school supplies. All of these items come out of the school budget.

enCompass serves up to 125 students annually. The students who elect to come to enCompass do so because the traditional school setting was not meeting their needs. At enCompass, we support students through our four component focus:  academic, social/emotional, enrichment, and personal needs.  Our goal is to support the whole student to be a successful member of society. With this thought in mind, we build capacity with other like-minded organizations.  Our students attend school at the Boys and Girls Club, and become members upon enrollment.  This relationship, with others, helps us to provide even more supports to our predominantly at-risk population.  enCompass fills a need for these students and for the community of Reno, Nevada. Per-pupil funding is not enough money to maintain the programs necessary to meet the needs of the student population. In order to thrive, the school must find other sources of revenue. That is where you come in: individuals who have the ability to donate even a few dollars will help the school tremendously. We are asking for your help now. If you appreciate the importance of alternative options for students who don’t fit within the normal system, please consider supporting our school.
