Energy Coordinating Agency

Energy Coordinating Agency (ECA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to help people conserve energy and to promote a sustainable and socially equitable energy future for all. 

Founded in 1984, ECA coordinates low-income energy services, and administers high quality energy conservation, education, heating, and home repair services to reduce households’ energy costs and stabilize families in their communities.

Our core programming consists of:

• Green Job Training - Graduates receive portable credentials to build a career in solar, HVAC, residential energy efficiency, or green construction.
• Energy Efficiency - We provide high quality energy conservation and weatherization services to low and moderate income residents of Philadelphia and Delaware. 
• Neighborhood Energy Centers - 16 centers across the city serve as a one-stop-shop for utility assistance. Trained energy counselors assist with LIHEAP applications and connection to additional services.
• Heater Hotline - Crisis repair of heating systems, free of charge, for income eligible homeowners. Preventative maintenance and tune-ups during the off season.

All donations are put towards general operating expenses and will advance the most critical pieces of our tax-except mission.
