Envirolution is the creation of four Yale University classmates who bonded over the needto more appropriately balance the economic, environmental and social aspects of our world.The foursome sought out to empower individuals to lead this change, with an emphasis onyouth. Education, youth leadership, sustainability, green jobs, career development, and theservice learning model became the heart and core of Envirolution's mission and work. Today,Envirolution's mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders and workersto drive the transition to a true and just green economy. Our mission is achieved through ourfocus on education, leadership development and career advancement services that always seekto empower individuals to be leaders in a sustainability field, but also on helping to increasethe demand for sustainable products and services. Envirolution has offices in New York City,NY and Reno, NV offering programs for elementary schools up to graduate students and jobseekers. Envirolution is known for our positive impacts with efficiency and renewable energyjob training and placement as well as project-based K-12 STEM education programs. Throughstrong partnerships with the education and business communities, Envirolution works diligentlyto provide avenues for individuals to engage in making our communities more sustainableand creating career paths for themselves. In 2012, we held our first week-long professionaldevelopment workshop, focused on STEM education and energy efficiency with 18 teachers inLas Vegas. We also implemented four 10-week STEM programs at three local high schools andone middle school. In total we worked with over 500 students at these schools and 12 teachers.
