Envision Utah brings Utahns together to help people, organizations, businesses, and governments look to the future and find solutions to some of the state’s long-term challenges. We work to help Utahns create vibrant, happy communities and a high quality of life now and for future generations.

Education

Utahns across the state want to improve education, and we want to help Utahns make that happen. Working with some of the state’s best experts in education, we’ve identified specific things we can do—as families, communities, and as well as a state—to  improve educational outcomes. Now we want everyone to understand those strategies and best practices and find ways to put them in action. 

Your donation helps us continue to research and discover best practices in education, as well as what Utahns want for their own educational outcomes. Your donation also helps us get the word out; best practices won’t be practiced if people don’t know about them! Click here to see what we’ve done with donations so far.

Quality Communities

Residents in the Wasatch Front will face an interesting challenge as the population nearly doubles in the next 20–30 years. Housing prices may increase and it may become more difficult to find affordable housing in good neighborhoods with access to jobs, services, healthcare, healthy food, good schools, and other elements that make up a good quality of life.

But we have the opportunity to think ahead about our patterns of growth and plan for a future that can meet that challenge. Through our Quality Communities effort, we’ve created a process to work with cities and local jurisdictions and help them make sure their communities are communities where Utahns of all incomes, ages, and abilities can have the opportunity to live in desirable neighborhoods with the things they need nearby.

Clean Air Action Team

A little more than three years ago, Governor Gary Herbert asked Envision Utah to convene and facilitate the efforts of a Clean Air Action Team. The Action Team includes representatives from health care, business, nonprofit organizations, government, academia, transportation, and more, and was tasked to understand and promote solutions to Utah’s air quality challenges.

Your donation helps this team work to provide a set of broadly supported recommendations to improve our air quality. These recommendations can then be implemented by government, businesses, and individuals. Click here to see what the team did in Provo with donations.
