Ephrata Area Social Services

When you contribute to EASS, you're providing direct support to your neighbors in need. Through our 4 core programs, we aim to EDUCATE the community, FIGHT hunger, and ENRICH lives.

The core programs include:

• Free transportation to grocery stores, doctor's appointments, and other others.
• Food pantry-Set up similar to a grocery store, people can come in and "shop" for items at no cost.
• Meals on Wheels - Ephrata and Cocalico-Connecting seniors and home-bound neighbors to nutritious meals while providing a quick safety check up to 5 days a week. 
• Community Support Services

Together, these initiatives deliver 3,500 services each month to the Northern Lancaster County community.

Over the past year, EASS has expanded its programming within the 4 programs to address ongoing community needs. New offerings include:

• A monthly senior enrichment event
• Workforce development programs
• A back-to-school initiative for kiddos
• Several upcoming additional holiday programs for the season. 

As of October 1st, EASS has also introduced a transitional housing program, assisting families experiencing homelessness or facing eviction by providing essential resources such as mentorship, safe housing, and budget counseling.
