Ephrata Recreation Center

The Ephrata Recreation Center is more than just a facility; for over 70 years it has been the heart of our community, serving as a hub for connection, wellness, and growth.  We have a great preschool program, run municipal summer programming, oversee three local community pools, and oversee the Parks for the entire Ephrata Borough. Here are several key reasons why our center is vital:

Since opening its doors in 1951, the Ephrata Recreation Center has served the residents of Lancaster County, making it a healthier, safer and stronger community. The Rec has been an integral part of the community and serves over 10,000 individuals each year through memberships, programs, community activities and community partnerships.  The partnerships with many local agencies provide services, facilities, management and cooperative ventures.  The Rec offers a wide range of programs for the entire family including fitness, athletics, fine and cultural arts and swimming lessons as well as being a focal point for community activities and meetings.  In addition, the Rec serves over 225 local kids with $50,000 in free and discounted memberships and programs through the Thomas Grater Memorial Scholarship Program.
