Our Story

Equine Heart Connection was born from a personal journey of healing. After struggling with severe anxiety for years, our founder, Julie Stewart, discovered a path to peace and strength through volunteering at a horse rescue. The bond she formed with horses opened the door to emotional recovery and sparked a passion to help others find that same connection.

Determined to turn her experience into a resource for others, Julie studied equine-assisted learning and became certified to offer structured, meaningful programs that help people grow, heal, and thrive. Equine Heart Connection was created to share this powerful connection with the community—offering veterans, youth, and individuals facing emotional or mental challenges a safe place to learn, connect, and rebuild.

Our mission is simple: to heal hearts through horses. Today, we continue to rescue and care for horses while empowering people to build confidence, develop life skills, and discover a renewed sense of purpose—one heart at a time.
