ESCOKIDOS

ESCOKIDOS' missio is to provide culturally sensitive child abuse preventive services to families in need through education and training, by partnering with other organizations and the community at large. 

Together we can create a society where children are given a fair opportunity to grow up in a safe environment, free from child abuse. 

We provide the following services:

We created ESCOKIDOS with the goal to serve 40 San Diego families in need of child abuse prevention services.

We serve families in Escondido, Vista, San Marcos, Valley Center, and families referred to us by our network of partners throughout San Diego County. The highest need is for families identified by our other organizations and/or the community as needing these interventions.  ESCOKIDOS receives referrals from these organizations, requesting specific services that could provide the families with the necessary tools to prevent the children from growing up in an abusive environment. These services are geared primarily toward Hispanic families that may be struggling to acculturate into a challenging, fast-paced society that demands full awareness and immersion to better provide their children with basic concepts of safety and protection. These services and interventions are determined initially based on child abuse trends described in national and regional data found in public records.  

This year, we are joining San Diego Gives to spark a movement of giving throughout San Diego and demonstrate our commitment to serving our community.

• Provide vital services including case management and assessment to identify each family's needs
• Engage parents in parent training 
• Connect families to community organizations to help them meet their basic needs 
• Advocacy to assist families as they navigate the school system and community resources
• And so much more!
