About

Esther Ha Foundation is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization that works to support and implement programs in education and community outreach, with the mission to raise awareness of mental illness and health, depression and suicide prevention for Asian societies in the U.S. We seek to help those who are struggling to cope with the stresses of life, work productively, and make contributions to his or her community. To accomplish this objective, we regularly orchestrate healing camps, healing concerts, group counseling sessions, awareness campaigns, individual counseling sessions, anger management sessions, mind therapy for bereaved families, and helplines. In addition, we continue to raise awareness and broaden public concern regarding mental health issues through radio broadcasts and other media outlets.

Name a major accomplishment or ways that you are having impact in the community.

As the number of COVID-19 cases increase, associated anxiety and depression are also increasing. Thousands of people’s lives and sense of well-being are being threatened with rising concerns about the virus. In this time, mental health doesn’t only affect how people think, feel, or behave, but also their ability to cope with stress, overcome challenges, and recover from life’s setbacks.  In this season, the Esther Ha Foundation is offering free individual and group counseling sessions to provide people with professional mental health and crisis services at no cost. The program is equipping participants with the best tools for coping with difficult circumstances and learning to recover from setbacks. The participants include business workers, stay-at-home parents, students, young adults, victims of COVID-19, first-responders, health-care workers, and more.  We believe that our free yet highly personalized and thorough services are allowing individuals and families to get back on their feet and cope with current stresses while maintaining a positive outlook.

What will #GiveInMay contributions help support? *

Our foundation is currently leading a free individual counseling program that provides people with professional mental health and crisis services at no cost. In addition, our help-line is continuing to operate with the help of 30 volunteers who are working tirelessly day and night to help those who call in. All of our mental heart experts, psychiatrists, and help-line workers are working with no pay.

#GiveInMay contributions will all go directly to continuing to provide individuals and families with professional mental health counseling and crisis services by compensating our hardworking staff members and volunteers for their invaluable work.
