The Evangelium Institute was founded to provide catechetical formation to the people of the Archdiocese of Omaha, with an emphasis on Catholic school teachers. Our mission is to introduce everyone to the beauty of our faith so as to inspire a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and his Church. We work with school teachers in particular because the future of the Catholic Church is sitting in their classrooms everyday. And, thanks be to God, we have seen great fruit.

We also provide formation opportunities for college students at the JPII Newman Center (Omaha), catechist and DRE formation, courses at the parish level, a blog on the saint of the day, and manage the intellectual formation for the permanent diaconate program for the Archdiocese of Omaha.

Who We Are

The Evangelium Institute carries on work that seeks to bring a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith to Catholic school teachers, those in diaconate formation, college students, catechists, and other interested adults.

EI staff provides formation in scripture, tradition, and the magisterial teaching of the Catholic Church as well as Spiritual Formation and practical applications, with an emphasis on personal relationships with Jesus Christ and encouragement towards personal prayer. In addition to our dynamic presentations, we offer small group formation, bible study, and optional spiritual direction, facilitated by EI staff in order to create and foster an atmosphere where our participants can speak about and share their faith with their colleagues, students, those people they meet in their everyday lives.
