Evanston Animal Shelter Association

The Evanston Animal Shelter is an open-admission municipal shelter that is committed to providing compassionate care to at-risk animals needing help. Whether a stray or a surrender, animals are welcomed with warm and open arms no matter their condition and are given the best chance at a fulfilled life. We have also committed to keeping pets and their people together by creating programs such as our open pet food pantry (free pet food), senior safety-net program (financial assistance to senior citizens with pets that have non life-threatening illness such), and our custodial program (up to 6 weeks of pet boarding and vet care for animals when their people are experiencing a difficult time with housing). Our newest project of a new building will help expand these programs as well as help more animals from outside our current mission!
