No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent life. Every single one of us deserves the opportunity for something better, and we all deserve to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and to build our own futures. At Habitat for Humanity, this is what unites us. This vision of a better world that we see glimpses of every day, when another family leaves behind a too crowded, too- expensive, too-unsafe house and moves into a home they helped build. A home that will serve as the foundation for the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to thrive. A home that represents a journey to a brighter tomorrow.

Since 1991, Evergreen Habitat for Humanity has been building homes and partnering with families and individuals to provide affordable homeownership opportunities right here in Clark County. In Clark County, Evergreen Habitat has built 60 homes and repaired an additional 100 homes for local homeowners. 

Current projects

We have two major projects happening now that will more than double our current homes over the next two years. 

Evergreen Habitat has purchased 42 single family rental homes from the Vancouver Housing Authority and is working to turn them into affordable homeownership opportunities for local homebuyers. Habitat is working to rehab and update this homes before selling them to an income qualified buyer. These homes are located throughout Clark County with the majority of homes in Vancouver and the surrounding unincorporated area. 

Evergreen Habitat has also recently closed on a new property in east Vancouver that will be 32 cottage style homes centered around common courtyards. This is Habitat's largest new construction project to date. This project is inspired by our commitment to fostering communities and addressing the pressing need for affordable housing in Clark County. There are currently two floor plan styles in the works, both featuring two bedrooms, 1.5 bathroom, full kitchen, living space, stacked washer and dryer, and patio space.
