Every third Monday in January, The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum welcomes the community to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Our Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Brunch is a special occasion that brings together people from all walks of life to remember that we have the power to exact the change we want to see.

And this year, we need YOU to help make the 2025 Dr. King Jr. Celebration even more special! The funds raised through 8/28 will allow us to invite insightful speakers, feature talented singers and serve delicious food to the more than 300 guests who arrive every year. So thank you -- in advance -- for enabling us to hold this important commemorative event, where we honor our students, community leaders and of course, Dr. King Jr.! 

The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum is the only museum of its kind in Palm Beach County. Located at 170 NW Fifth Avenue in Delray Beach, it is dedicated to showcasing the contributions of members of the African Diaspora to Florida and the U.S. Programs include The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Brunch, exhibitions, historical tours, and educational outreach. We are located in an historic home built and occupied by the family of Solomon D. Spady in the 1920s through 1950s. We also care for a 1930s craftsman cottage, where we welcome the community to gather. 

Our mission is to expand, preserve, and present the culturally diverse history of the Black communities of South Florida. From empowering youth programs that nurture the leaders of tomorrow to engaging museum visits that celebrate our shared heritage, and community projects that amplify unity, our dedication knows no bounds. Through enlightening workshops, immersive experiences, and so much more, we weave the threads of culture, education, and history together.
