Every childhood dream begins with a vision. At Eye Care 4 Kids we work to ensure that vision can develop. Eye Care 4 Kids has provided humanitarian aid to more than 50,000 children and their families since 2001. Our progams treat youth in need across the state of Utah, including rural areas and on Native American reservations, helping up to 600 patients each month. Eye Care 4 Kids allows our visually impaired, at risk community to get the treatment they so desperately need.

There are over 100,000 children along the Wasatch Front who are in need of vision care. These children do not receive the services they require because they are uninsured, underinsured or simply can't afford professional eyecare. Untreated eye disese and disorders regularly lead to poor academic success, developmental delays and reduced overall health quality. Although some type of vision screening is required for children entering school, important follow up care is unavailable for those without health insurance or living in poverty. Thie deficiency of eyecare is crippling our most vulnerable populations. Eye Care 4 Kids fills this need by providing free and/or affordable vision services to thousands of low income, at risk youth and family members. The majority of our clients show major improvement in academic performance, job performance, confidence, self-esteem, and overall well-being.

Eye Care 4 Kids has been awarded the Utah “Best of State” award two years in a row as well as the “Best of the Best” award. Eye Care 4 Kids was also the recipient of the 2006 Community Service Award presented by the Salt Lake Chamber and has been spotlighted by Fred Ball and Speaking on Business multiple times.

We hope you will consider donating to Eye Care 4 Kids and help our Utah children suffering with vision impairment succeed. By supporting our 25 Program you can give the gift of vision to a child. $25 covers the hard cost of materials, frames and lenses, for a child in need. A general donation of any amount will help us purchase equipment and supplies needed to maintain our clinics and mobile unit in 2013.
