FEHCDC mission is to alter the physical environment of Central City by rebuilding a stronger cohesive neighborhood and restoring educational and traditional moral values in the community, tearing down the barriers that hinder the growth and development of people

The corporation has purchased over 65 units of properties since organized and have provided decent and affordable housing to low-moderate income persons. Construction on Four vacant lots is plan for this year that will provide new homes for first time homeowners. We have received approval for funding for an additional 16 units for new construction and additional rental units which have been approved by the City HOME funds.

Additional accomplishments achieved by FEHCDC are:

? Construction of our New Multi-Purpose Facility Building (Community Center) located at 2826 Martin L. King Blvd. FEHCDC operations have been relocated to this site in November 2004.
? The purpose of Community Service Multi-Purpose Center is to provide a safe haven for the community at large, offering educational, health and recreational opportunities for youth, adults and seniors. It will create a physical space to allow the community to interact on various levels, thus binding the community together and facilitating educational activities for the betterment of the community at large.
? NA/AA Substance abuse groups are held two times a week
? FEHCDC is also a Food Distribution Center, disbursing meals to the homeless and food to low-income families and individuals.
