Facing Forward Giving Tuesday 2022
$103,165 Raised
Nearly 58,273 people experience homelessness in Chicago each year (1). Facing Forward helps families and individuals in Chicago break the cycle of homelessness by offering home, help and hope.
We recognize that a safe and stable home is both an immediate need and a foundation from which all other needs can be met. Our programs help connect clients to the stable housing, support, and resources they need to end the cycle of homelessness.
Over the past year Facing Forward has helped nearly 1,800 children and adults on their journey beyond housing instability and homelessness. We responded to urgent needs with increased support through rental & utility assistance, PPE, food, sanitation supplies, e-learning equipment, and more.
In addition to ending cycles of homelessness for good and improving the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors, our approach is also a smart policy that saves taxpayers $10+ million per year by reducing frequent encounters with emergency rooms, jails, and shelters (2).
Facing Forward to End Homelessness is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. EIN: 36-3397005
