The Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council is a private, nonprofit civil rights enforcement agency. Our mission is to promote fair housing throughout the State of Wisconsin by combating illegal housing discrimination and by creating and maintaining racially and economically integrated housing patterns. We operate two satellite offices: the Fair Housing Center of Greater Madison and the Fair Housing Center of Northeast Wisconsin.

Unfortunately, illegal housing discrimination remains common throughout Wisconsin. We need your help to fight back.

When you support the Fair Housing Council, you help ensure that:

  • victims of illegal housing discrimination have access to complaint intake, investigative services, and counseling on their options for legal remedy
  • housing consumers and providers receive education about their fair housing rights and responsibilities
  • victims of predatory loans and mortgage rescue scams receive help
  • policy makers and housing developers have access to technical assistance about building inclusive, integrated communities
