Family and Community Service of Delaware County

A nonprofit organization

Family and Community Service of Delaware County (FCSDC) has
proudly served the residents of the county
for over 100 years! Our mission is
to build stronger communities through healthy, empowered individuals and
families. To that end we strive to meet the basic needs of those most
vulnerable. Our programs address homelessness, mental health, medical care
access, and food-insecurity.

For the 2025 Delco Gives, FCSDC is focusing on our housing
programs. Many individuals and families in our community face the impossible
choice between paying rent and meeting other basic needs, often resulting in short-term or chronic homelessness. At
FCSDC, our transitional and permanent housing programs provide more than
shelter - they offer stability, dignity, and hope to individuals and families
as they move from homelessness to housing.

Last
year, FCSDC’s housing programs supported meaningful change:
  • Our Family Transitional Housing program helped
15 families (22 adults and 30 children) move from homeless shelters to
independent housing. These families will receive up to two years of rent
    assistance.

  • Through our Ralph Moses House Transitional
program, 20 men moved from shelters into their own apartments and also will
receive up to two years of rent assistance.

  • Our two Permanent Supportive Housing programs
serve individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness due to
mental health challenges and other disabilities. These two programs currently
provide 24 households (29 adults and 6 children) with ongoing rent subsidies.

  • All FCSDC housing participants receive ongoing
case management support, ensuring they have resources for long-term stability.
When
you give to FCSDC's housing programs, you're not just helping to put a roof
over someone's head - you're creating the foundation for transformation. Your generosity
today becomes the key that unlocks a better tomorrow for those we serve.

Please
consider making a gift that will help us continue this vital work in the Delco community.
