Happy Endings

Shuniesha and her 3 children entered the Family Promise Shelter in January of 2014.  They had been bouncing around between friends and family members for 2 years.  Shuniesha worked temp jobs, but never made enough to support her family or to develop real job skills.  With the support of Family Promise, she secured day care for her children and got a job at a local motel.

When the Promise Center opened in June she was a perfect candidate for a supportivwe housing apartment.  By December, she had a second job and in January of 2015 she was able to move into her own apartment in West Bend.  In the space of 12 months, Shuniesha went from being homeless and unemployed to having her own apartment and holding down 2 jobs.  She is now positioned to build a better life for herself and her children.
