Family Counseling Service of Northern Utah

Mission: Family Counseling Service of Northern Utah is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents of Northern Utah by providing affordable mental health counseling to individuals, couples and families regardless of income.

We specialize in providing prompt, skilled counseling services to individuals and families who have limited or no income, are uninsured or underinsured, and/or do not qualify for Medicaid or Medicare. We were founded in 1966 in response to a community survey that showed the need to prevent family breakdown by providing affordable therapy to individuals and families living in Northern Utah. For 52 years, we have remained committed to addressing the critical unmet mental health needs of low-income Northern Utah residents.

We offer specialized individual, couples, and family counseling to treat a variety of issues including:

• Healthy boundaries
• Conflict resolution
• Depression
• Loneliness/social isolation
• Physical and sexual abuse
• Play therapy
• Treatment of children for physical, sexual and emotional abuse
