Familylinks

A nonprofit organization

Familylinks was formed in 2001, through the merger of two
organizations: The Whale’s Tale (est. 1970) and Parent & Child Guidance
Center (est. 1956). As a result, Familylinks provides a vast array of services
for individuals and families in the areas of
mental health,
substance use, prevention, service coordination, emergency shelter, supportive
housing, senior care, and more. Annually, Familylinks serves more than 11,000
individuals throughout 26 counties across Pennsylvania.

Since first establishing a presence in Eastern Pennsylvania in September 2022, Familylinks has been steadily growing its impact in the region. Initially serving clients in Carbon, Monroe, and Pike counties, our reach has since expanded to include Northampton and Lehigh counties as well.

Familylinks provides Supports Coordination services to children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism. Through this program, our team assists individuals and their families in locating and securing essential services that promote safety, health, and success. This team of eight Familylinks serves approximately 200 clients in NEPA.
