Family Promise Mat-Su is a community response for families without housing. Our traditional model of housing homeless families has been on a rotation basis between faith communities, providing family-style meals, compassionate care, and overnight housing. Most recently, during COVID, our families have remained in one location, and the faith community has stepped up to deliver evening meals. In October 2021, we were GIFTED a building to expand services! We can now offer housing for families who have experienced a house fire, earthquake damage, or other damage to their homes which create temporary homelessness. We also offer large group meeting space for clubs, a computer station for job readiness, homeschooling, and housing searches, evening child care for parents who work hours past normal child care hours, a shower, laundry facility, and a Peer Navigator to greet visitors. We also have a giving closet with food and clothing by appointment only. We have been so blessed to have been given this building. It has brought a new hope to reaching our most vulnerable population. We are calling it The H.O.P.E. House (Housing, Outreach, Programs, and Education). Your monetary donation will help us keep the lights on and provide quality staff for each program. Thank you in advance for your support!
