Farm Share

A nonprofit organization

Farm Share is Florida's homegrown food bank. Founded for and by Floridians in Miami, Florida, Farm Share has been serving those under food insecurity since 1991 with the simple but innovative idea to recover crops from Florida farmers in order to distribute fresh and nutritious food to Floridians in need. 30 years after our inception we have fed millions, saved millions of pounds of food from going to waste and are now Florida's largest independent food bank and the 4th largest independent food bank in the United States.

Farm Share is the only food bank allowed to distribute the USDA's TEFAP program in Miami and is the only food bank that has responded to food insecurity and disaster relief in Miami for decades. Farm Share is dedicated to serving Miami's hardworking families that have been squeezed by the economic stressors that have come with 2022. During the COVID Pandemic, Farm Share distributed more than 136 million pounds of food to more than 23 million households residing in all of Florida's 67 counties. Of the 136 million pounds of food distributed, more than 38 million pounds were fresh healthy fruits and vegetables from Florida farms and agricultural communities.

In 2022 we have continued to serve our communities in South Florida with millions of pounds of food that we serve and will always serve for free! We empower thousands of food distributions and food pantries across the state and need your help to continue our mission. 2022 has been hard on food banks and we have been faced with financial challenges that seem almost impossible to surpass. We at Team Farm Share are counting on you to help us fight food insecurity in Miami!
