Fathers Uplift

Fathers’ UpLift works to assist fathers in overcoming barriers (financial, oppressive, emotional, traumatic and addiction-based) that prevent them from remaining engaged in their children’s lives. We also provide counseling, activities, and mentoring and guidance to children who are growing up without their fathers. We uplift fathers and strengthen families nationwide through service, love, and encouragement.

Today, nearly 20 million children in the US (over 1 in 4) will wake up and go to bed without an active father in their lives, leading to increased risk of substance abuse (30%), behavioral disorders (85%), poverty (300%), youth incarceration (100%), and more risk-factors that result from father absenteeism. In serving fathers and fatherless youth, our aim is to provide more stable homes by guiding our served population past obstacles that can prove disastrous. In fact, our organization is the first nonprofit in the US to operate an outpatient mental health clinic focused on fathers and their families, beginning to establish a new model for empowering fathers and communities.
