Feelingthropic Incorporated

Feelingthropic Incorporated was founded to address the needs of homeless and transitioning youth “aging out” of foster care.  

Feelingthropic Incorporated, objective is to provide homeless and transitioning youth with food, supplies, education and support to ensure they are afforded the same competitive advantages, financial stability, and educational opportunities as other young adults in our communities. 

Studies have shown that compared to other youth in the United States, young adults experiencing homelessness are more likely to not have completed high school or received a GED, they often suffer from mental health problems, many are unemployed and live in poverty. Currently, in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area there are 3,172 homeless individuals of that number over 40 % are between the ages of 18-24. 

As youth begin their transition to adulthood, they should have experiences that foster growth and independence. Youth who are, homeless or have been in foster care face a number of challenges that can hinder a smooth transition into the community. Feelingthropic Incorporated is that resource to bridge the gap.
