THE WONDER IS HERE. ALL WE NEED IS YOU.
Featuring a world-class museum, Giant Screen Theater, and 75 acres of outdoor adventures, Fernbank is Atlanta’s Science and Nature Experience.
While this year has been most unusual for all of us, including Fernbank, we are thrilled to now be open for our community. Since reopening on June 1, we have created new virtual programs for schools and families and taken measures, informed by health officials, to safely welcome visitors and members to our 120-acre science-education campus. This season, Fernbank presents the annual Winter Wonderland plus Sixty Eight Voices l Sixty Eight Hearts, two very special exhibitions that celebrate the rich diversity and multi-cultural heritage represented in our community and communities across the globe. While at Fernbank, visitors can also safely explore giant decorative snow globes in WildWoods and the special exhibition, Amazing Animals: Built to Survive.
There is so much more on the horizon. Next year, we will present new exhibits, both indoors and outdoors; giant screen movies; campus-wide family enrichment; and community and school programs to include highly specialized STEAM opportunities for underserved children. Also, stay tuned for more announcements on exciting programs and initiatives along the way, including news on our brand new STEAM Lab and Mobile Museum premiering later in the year.
Please consider a gift to Fernbank’s COVID-19 Recovery Fund. Your generous contribution will support the very essence of Fernbank, from exceptional science programming and cultural learning to priceless collections, including the living collections in WildWoods and Fernbank Forest. These experiences are important to a cultural and educational ecosystem so vital to our community.
*Gifts to Fernbank’s COVID-19 Recovery Fund are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donors who make gifts of $1,000 or more will receive recognition on a digital donor panel in special exhibitions during 2020 and 2021.
