Today almost 20 percent of Americans are spending and living well beyond their means. This is a problem we felt could not be ignored, and the key to helping people is to educate them.

We have given over 30 presentations in the past 8 months at school and district level events to educators, administers, parents, and students on a multitude of financial literacy programs and topics including credit scores, financial aid, and using credit wisely.

Providing valuable outreach to school officials and community organizations during financial curriculum implementation through one on one consultation and group or teacher training is important to us. We provide program technical administrative assistance, measurement and evaluation metrics, and sources for funding.

Continuing to visit schools, community organizations, and school districts is essential. We do so for special events and we create age appropriate activities such as financial literacy treasure hunts and interactive offline and online games to engage the whole family.

"A great turnout of 23 kids in grades k-5. 12 parents and younger sibling attended too.  We received a lot of positive feedback from both the kids and parents.  One mom said this program reinforced a lot of concepts they were discussing in school.  It was also a great way to combine activities that helped kids get to know their way around the library while increasing their financial and mathematical literacy." - Pamela Westby Director Middleton Library
