DID YOU KNOW THAT OUR NATION HAS A DROPOUT EPIDEMIC? ABOUT 1.3 MILLION STUDENTS DROP OUT EVERY YEAR. THAT’S 7,000 A DAY!

Firewall Centers is a nonprofit that provides free after-school mentoring, tutoring, and leadership development to low-income middle and high school students. Our three areas of focus allow us to challenge the stats and prove that these students can not only survive, but thrive.

Firewall focus’ on three areas for success.

First, our low student-to-staff ratio of 10:1 provides students with the individual attention they need to succeed. Our Center staff are college students that tutor, mentor, and connect to students in ways that others cannot.

Second, Firewall partners with parents, teachers, and school counselors to provide students with a strong support system.Being directly in public schools eases communication and enhances accountability. Just last year, almost 90% of our students maintained or improved their grades.

Third, Firewall is not just a program – it’s a family. We commit to students not just for a month or a year, but from 6th grade through high school graduation. Our students are not stats – they’re servant leaders who believe in themselves and in their ability to change the world.
