Firme DFW

We are a non profit dedicated to improving post secondary outcomes for first generation Latine students in Dallas, Texas! We do this by providing financial, academic, and social supports for our students! Every Firme scholar receives $3,000 every year for four years, a mentor to help them navigate college, and a network of Latino professionals to help them build their careers after college. We currently partner with Leadership Forward, a non profit that provides one-on-one mentoring and programming that is specifically focused on college and career readiness. Students are each matched with a local adult volunteer who helps them think boldly about their future and provides them with the tools they need to be successful following graduation.

Leadership Forward and Firme aim to close severe college career readiness gaps. Furthermore, Firme wants to close career access gaps by providing students with a professional Latino network that can help provide our students with internships, career advice, and entry level positions out of college.
